Kurt, Hector, Matt and the team at Connecticut Fence Works did a stellar job at installing our new white vinyl privacy fence along with a beautiful cedar split rail section along the back line. The execution was flawless and we are very happy with the outcome. It's beautiful :D Kurt is a straightshooter too, which is much appreciated. Thank you!!Posted on Google![]()

Kurt gave me a fast estimate; brought examples of fencing I was interested in (black aluminum) and provided an insurance certificate with the estimate. Price was lower than other vendors. Work was done in two mornings. They removed and disposed of the old vinyl fence. Work crew was great - they trimmed back one tree for the fence, but then cut it completely when my wife decided it didn't need to stay. It's much less "intrusive" than the old fence. UPDATE: Above was for the pool fence in 2022. This year (2026) I had a 110ft wooden fence replaced. They removed the old one and put up the new one and hauled the old one away. They also repaired a damaged section of a white vinyl fence. Very happy with the job.Posted on Google![]()

I can’t say enough about Kurt and CT Fence Works. He is responsive, professional, and reasonably priced. He installed a custom wooden cantilever fence that runs across my driveway, primarily to keep my dog in my backyard. When she found a way to escape, he immediately came up with a solution, and came back to add some elements to ensure that it wouldn’t happen. His solution was elegant, and he didn’t charge extra. In fact, I got a discount because a part was cheaper than expected. I wish all business owners took as much pride and care in their work. If you need fencing, don’t hesitate! He’s the best.Posted on Google![]()

Fence Split Rail Guide for Connecticut Homes and Yards
A homeowner in Hartford or Middlesex County may want a fence that defines the yard without turning the property into a closed-off box. A split rail fence often fits that need. It frames a driveway, separates lawn from woods, or gives a broad lot a clear edge while keeping the view open. The style looks simple, but the buying decision isn't only about appearance. Connecticut homeowners also need to consider wood maintenance, freeze-thaw conditions, pet containment, pool safety, property lines, permits, and long-term replacement costs. A low barrier that works beautifully along a rural driveway may be a poor choice for a dog, young children, or a pool enclosure. This guide breaks down how fence split rail systems work, how materials compare, how layouts fit

When you're deciding on a new fence for your home, one of the first questions you likely have is, "How long is this actually going to last?" It's a fair question, and with vinyl, the answer is quite impressive. A professionally installed, high-quality vinyl fence can be expected to last anywhere from 20 to 30 years. Some top-tier, premium products can even push that number closer to 50 years. That kind of lifespan turns a simple fence purchase into a genuine long-term investment for your property. The Real Lifespan of a Vinyl Fence Choosing a fence is a big decision for any homeowner, and understanding its lifespan is key. It helps to think of a quality vinyl fence not as a temporary barrier, but as
