Post and Rail

Simple and understated, vinyl or wood post and rail fences provide a natural and rustic look to give landscape definition and beautify your property. We can also add a welded wire or chain link backer for a safe dog enclosure, or pool code compliant fence. All post and rail fences have matching gates of any size and come in either two, three, or four rail styles, for heights ranging from two-and-a-half feet to five feet tall. Post and rail is a popular choice for horse and livestock fencing as well.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kurt, Hector, Matt and the team at Connecticut Fence Works did a stellar job at installing our new white vinyl privacy fence along with a beautiful cedar split rail section along the back line. The execution was flawless and we are very happy with the outcome. It's beautiful :D Kurt is a straightshooter too, which is much appreciated. Thank you!!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kurt gave me a fast estimate; brought examples of fencing I was interested in (black aluminum) and provided an insurance certificate with the estimate. Price was lower than other vendors. Work was done in two mornings. They removed and disposed of the old vinyl fence. Work crew was great - they trimmed back one tree for the fence, but then cut it completely when my wife decided it didn't need to stay. It's much less "intrusive" than the old fence.
UPDATE: Above was for the pool fence in 2022. This year (2026) I had a 110ft wooden fence replaced. They removed the old one and put up the new one and hauled the old one away. They also repaired a damaged section of a white vinyl fence. Very happy with the job.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t say enough about Kurt and CT Fence Works. He is responsive, professional, and reasonably priced. He installed a custom wooden cantilever fence that runs across my driveway, primarily to keep my dog in my backyard. When she found a way to escape, he immediately came up with a solution, and came back to add some elements to ensure that it wouldn’t happen. His solution was elegant, and he didn’t charge extra. In fact, I got a discount because a part was cheaper than expected.

I wish all business owners took as much pride and care in their work. If you need fencing, don’t hesitate! He’s the best.
